Now we are at this gorgeous property, called Monte Suenos, which someone in town recommended. It is a lot more expensive than our other accommodations, at $55 per night for the two of us, but it is worth it. The view is spectacular, and it is so peaceful up here. There are a few other guests, but they disappear during the day.
Meredith Miller, and her late husband, Brian O'Leary, started to create this place about 15 years ago.
The grounds and gardens are gorgeous. It is beautifully decorated, and there are lots of Meredith's art pieces on display. This is Meredith, by the waterfall she designed.
And me.
One of Meredith's pieces. They are multi-media, with lots of depth and colour and texture.
I'd be quite happy to just stay here for the rest of the trip, but we do want to check out a few other areas. We're making plans to head over to the coast, yet another completely different environment.
Hi Ann,
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you found this gorgeous spot high up in Vilcabamba. Ann, Pierre and I met an ultra runner in Vilcabamba. He is a chiropractor who sets up his table in the town park every weekend. He gets donations from patrons. If you see a small man, American, chiropractor, in the village square, say hello from the Canadian runners, lee Anne and Pierre.
Hi Lee Anne. We met a chiropractor there who they call Doc Sunday. I wonder if that was him.
DeleteIt's like a dream, what a lovely place, so lush!
